Regions Bank recently hosted a US Congressman, sharing with him the cyber security challenges facing financial services and what steps banks are taking to better protect themselves and their customers.  Regions’ CISO will provide highlights from that presentation.

Presenter: Jeff Kennedy, CISO, Regions Bank

Jeff joined Regions in January 2015 serving as Chief Information Security Officer. Regions is a top U.S. bank-holding company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, with $122 billion in assets, operating approximately 1,650 banking offices in 16 states.

Previously, Jeff was the Director of Operational Risk at BOK Financial Corporation, where he was responsible for Information Security, Corporate Purchasing, IT Risk Management and Enterprise Operational Risk Management.  Jeff started his career at Synovus, spending 21 years with the company.  The last 5 years he served as the IT Group Executive, where he was responsible for all aspects of technology strategy and delivery.

Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia and is a Certified Public Accountant.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There are two visitor parking lots and ample, free street parking.

What is the refund policy?

Cancellation must be made through Eventbrite before Friday, December 7 at 9AM CT.  Refunds (minus any Eventbrite fees) will be acknowledged within 2 business days and can take up to 5 days to process.

What if I can’t attended, but I purchased a lunch?

Any lunches left over at the end of the meeting (1:00 PM CT) will be donated to the Chapter.  We cannot carry over payments to the next month meeting.

Can I bring my own lunch?

Absolutely!  If you did not order a lunch, feel free to bring your own.

Will there be any extra lunches (that can be bought at the door)?

No.  Lunches are made to order.
